Healthcare Technology and News: MEDecision Releases New Version of Alineo

MEDecision, Inc., a provider of collaborative health care management solutions, has released Alineo 2.0, the newest version of its Alineo collaborative health care management platform.

Company officials said that Alineo 2.0 allows health plans to optimize automation and efficiency in the delivery of care management programs while fostering a more member-centric, whole-person approach.

The platform is designed to help maximize the effectiveness of case, disease and utilization management initiatives by simplifying integration with other internal and external medical management systems, the company said.

In fact, officials said Alineo 2.0 provides health plans with a powerful, yet simplified resource that can support business growth by streamlining operations, controlling medical and administrative costs and strengthening business processes while improving the overall quality of care.

“The release of Alineo 2.0 signals MEDecision’s continued strength and leadership in the market,” said Scott A. Storrer, president and COO at MEDecision, in a statement.

Storrer said that the company is pleased to continue the development initiatives and reinforce the commitments both to customers and to the advancement of the industry even during weak economic times.

“We’re confident that Alineo 2.0 will facilitate business processes for our customers that will enhance their medical management value proposition and enable top-line revenue growth,” he added.

MEDecision initially introduced the Alineo platform last year and has since implemented the technology with three major customers, each of which is planning to migrate to Alineo 2.0.

Alineo gives health care organizations a simplified and smart process for analyzing data to identify high-risk patients.

In May MEDecision, Inc. announced that it finalized its acquisition of HxTechnologies, Inc. (HxTI).

HxTI is a health information exchange (HIE) company that specializes in enabling the seamless and secure flow of clinical data among health care stakeholders.
