Healthcare Technology and News: NEC Enhances Guest Services with UA5200 Hospitality Module

Communications solutions integrator NEC Unified Solutions (NEC) has introduced a new module to its UNIVERGE UA5200 Attendant Console specifically for the hospitality industry.

By tightly integrating a hotel’s communications services with its property management system (PMS) the new module enables better management of guest data, helps enhance customer satisfaction and the guest experience.

Jay Krauser, general manager, Portfolio Management, NEC Unified Solutions said that the solution will help the hoteliers to win loyal guests who know that all their needs will be met once they step inside the facility.

Providing integration into the PMS will greatly benefit the hotel employees using the UNIVERGE UA5200 attendant console. They can now more quickly assist guests with wake-up calls and messaging while monitoring current information that could impact their guests.

NEC Unified Solutions notes the Las Vegas Hilton, a longtime NEC customer. The hotel benefited from the deployment of the UNIVERGE UA5200 attendant console as their primary solution for centralized hotel operator services.

When the guests in the Las Vegas Hilton contact the hotel operator from their rooms, the attendant has a full view of available services and offerings, as well as historical information about the caller. All this has been made possible due to the solution’s integration with the hotel’s property management system. NEC has helped Hilton to enhance guest experience that otherwise could not have been achieved.

The UA5200 Hospitality module includes a number of features such as Guest Directory Data Integration; Enhanced Wake-up Call Interface; Guest Messaging; and Attendant Banners.

NEC recently announced their UNIVERGE SV8300 communications server and IP telephones helped Sto:lo Nation lower communication costs, improve public safety and enhance staff productivity. Sto:lo Nation is an Aboriginal governing body that oversees 13 First Nations in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia.
