Orion Health says the company is in a unique position to help hospitals, governments and healthcare communities to comply with the Obama administration American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009.  Orion Health provides clinical workflow and integration technology for e-health and helps integrate patient health data and histories that form the basis of an electronic health record (EHR).  

 

The Obama administration’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009 concentrates on making the EHR a norm across the hospitals and health centers in the United States. But the major challenge in implementing this policy is the lack of seamless exchange of data between various hospitals and institutes.

Orion Health is already taking part in various far reaching EHR programs, which include province-wide programs in Canada, Maine's Health Infonet covering 44 hospitals, and UCLA Medical Center. Also, the Canada Health Infoway has adopted the company’s technology in its blueprint for pan-Canadian health data interoperability.

 

Recently, Delegate Healthcare Solutions selected Orion Health’s Rhapsody Integration Engine to ensure its solution can be rapidly integrated with its customer’s hospital information systems. Rhapsody Integration Engine will serve as the platform to ensure that Delegate’s meal and food production planning tools can incorporate patient data such as prescribed diets, allergies, intolerances and medications that may be stored in disparate hospital systems.
