Healthcare Technology and News: Nukona and Integer Wireless Join up For Healthcare mHealth Solutions

Wireless networks. They’re everywhere. But how do you ensure they’re safe and secure when you’re talking about a doctor’s office?

Nukona and Integer Wireless announced today they are combining their expertise to help hospitals, physicians’ groups and other healthcare providers meet privacy and security requirements as they go wireless by helping them develop a solution that meets each enterprise's in-building needs.

Nukona's services – including private app stores and app-security "wrappers" – provide enterprises with end-to-end solutions for securing their mobile devices, the data on them and the networks to which they connect. Integer Wireless specializes in designing, building and optimizing in-building and campus-wide cellular and Wi-Fi networks that provide healthcare organizations with secure, HIPAA-compliant voice, data and video communications. Beginning immediately, Integer Wireless will include Nukona's mobile device applications management platform in its solutions portfolio.

Nukona, a startup developing security management software for mobile devices, entered into the partnership with Integer Wireless because of its 16 years of relationships with hospital CIOs, IT managers and other decision-makers.

Nukona also will be featured at the Integer Wireless Experience Center, a 10,000-square foot facility providing a hands-on opportunity to test a wide variety of enterprise-grade wireless solutions from more than 100 vendors, application developers and service providers. At the center, opening this summer in Newport Beach, companies can check out their options and actually custom-build solutions for all types of in-building and campus-wide deployments

Over the past 16 years, Integer Wireless has led more than 1,000 in-building and campus-wide wireless projects for clients such as Apple, Coors Field, Denver Department of Health, Kaiser Permanente, Hoag Hospital, Hyatt, Intel, NASA and Walmart. Integer Wireless provides solutions for a variety of vertical markets, including health care, general enterprise, sports and entertainment venues, retail stores, government and hospitality.

The Integer Wireless Experience Center provides an opportunity for organizations in those marketplaces to vet their options and custom-build solutions for all types of in-building and campus-wide deployments.
