Healthcare Technology and News: Keystrokes Acquires Hudson Medical Systems


Keystrokes, an established leader in the transcription industry has acquired Hudson Medical Systems and its complete technology suite of fully integrated products, called ChartNet.

Through the acquisition, the company has been renamed ChartNet Technologies.

"This acquisition enables Keystrokes to offer advanced technology to our customers with developers available to customize work flow, reporting and integration,” said Lee Tkachuk, CEO of Keystrokes, in a statement.

"At the same time, ChartNet Technologies offers the scalability and flexibility of the ChartNet technology suite, providing a comprehensive and robust solution for healthcare facilities and MTSOs of all sizes," said Tkachuk.

Officials with Keystrokes said that ChartNet Technologies will continue to offer both premise-based and ASP solutions to hospitals and Medical Transcription Service Organizations (MTSOs).

The ChartNet suite includes ChartNet Transcription, ChartNet Voice and ChartVox Dictation.

Company officials said that ChartNet Transcription offers remote transcription, auto-faxing, electronic signature, powerful report distribution options and more. ChartNet Voice is an affordable alternative to traditional phone-based dictation that utilizes hand-held digital voice recorders. The suite's digital dictation system, ChartVox Dictation, allows dictation to be done from any telephone.

Founded in 1997, Keystrokes is a national transcription service with over 500 medical language specialists on staff. Based in the Chicago suburb of Yorkville, the company provides transcription services to more than 125 hospitals and medical practices in the United States. Serving large healthcare systems, hospitals, clinics and more, Keystrokes currently transcribes over 120 million lines of transcription each year, including approximately 3.4 million radiology reports.

Keystrokes provides continuous customer service to meet and exceed the goals and requirements of its customers.
