Healthcare Technology and News: Stockell Healthcare Systems Awarded GSA Information Technology Schedule 70 Contract

Stockell Healthcare Systems, Inc., a provider of end-to-end patient access, patient accounting, and revenue cycle management software solutions for healthcare providers, has been awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Information Technology Schedule 70 contract.This new GSA Schedule 70 contract offers government managed hospitals and healthcare providers fast and discounted purchasing of Stockell Healthcare's solutions.

"Stockell Healthcare has an expanding list of clients that are either government owned and operated, or are the result of public and private co-ownership," said Rick Stockell, president of Stockell Healthcare Systems, in a statement. "With this GSA Schedule 70 contract, we now will be able to offer those clients a more streamlined procurement process for both our InsightCS software solutions and our associated professional services," said Stockell.

Recently Stockell Healthcare Systems announced that Cooper Green Mercy Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama has chosen to replace its Meditech system with InsightCS, the company's proven Patient Access and Revenue Cycle Management software solution that dynamically captures, edits, and manages encounter-based patient care delivery data by converting it into actionable enterprise information.

Earlier in May 2010 Stockell Healthcare Systems had announced that Pantai Holdings Berhad (Pantai) has chosen to implement its InsightCS Patient Access and Revenue Cycle Management solution across a 10-hospital network located in Malaysia.

The selection was made as part of Pantai's information technology initiative calling for the automation of healthcare processes to provide more standardized quality of care, greater efficiency, and improved patient service. The organization will be integrating InsightCS with the clinical components of Eclipsys Corporation's Sunrise Enterprise 5.5 integrated suite of software solutions.
